Pool Party! Enjoying Life at Geneva National Golf Club
Last weekend the Swim and Racquet Club at Geneva National Golf Club, Lake Geneva Wi was buzzing. At Geneva National, all owners are Swim & Racquet members, a nice amenity that all can enjoy. In addition to the wading pool for little ones and the large family swim pool which are usually bustling, the lap pool provides a quiet spot for residents 18 and over to relax, swim laps, enjoy a cup of coffee and some “down” time.
The lap pool opens at 7 a.m., perfect for those who wish to do a few laps before heading to one of three 18-hole golf courses. This summer, the club is offering swim and tennis lessons for children and water aerobics. If all the activity should give you an appetite, be sure to stop in at Tubby’s, the retro ‘50’s diner. Their grilled salads and wraps are delicious and healthy. There’s a jukebox that the young ones will enjoy and plenty of red vinyl booths and high tops. If you prefer to enjoy your fool outside, Tubby’s has a patio overlooking the pools.
Geneva National Golf Club was recently recognized as one of the “Top 100 Places to Retire in the U.S.” and while many of the residents there do feel “retired” when they are on property, it’s more a matter of lifestyle and change of pace than anything else. Whether you’re truly retired, or just seeking a haven with amenities as your home away from home, Geneva National Golf Club should be on your list of “must visit’s”. While you’re there, be sure to tour the clubhouse and fitness center as well as the Swim & Racquet Club. Between golf, swimming, tennis, hiking, walking, and working out, you’ll discover a whole new way of life just two short hours from Chicago. With prices ranging from $120,000 for a one bedroom/one bath condo to just under $2,000,000 for an exquisitely finished custom, single family home, there are many residences from which to choose.
